i was going to make this a daily post kinda thing, but i've come to find out that's a hard feat when you work two jobs and only get one day off per week... so this is going to be a weekly recap now!

if you're new here, welcome ✮⋆˙ and if you're returning from my previous blog, welcome back!

this time around, we're going to be diving into everything i, river user @perfectlynormalgirl, have spent money on between sept 13 - sept 19.

sept 13

we started the week off right by getting a katsu sandwich and a black sesame latte at muji with @aristotle. it was a wonderful outing and i'm happy to have indulged in muji's hot food, but i have to say i would not purchase this again. this came out to a whopping $30.92... not starting the week off strong.

later that night i had a night on the town, so i bought a bottle of guava flavored soju to set the tone. i am sad to report i failed to photograph this, so instead i am inserting an image of the aftermath. this came out to $5.15.

and finally, it comes the time to factor in the biggest money suck of them all, metro fares :( i spent a total of $8.70 on the metro on this fine day.

leaving us with a grand total of...

$44.77

we can only hope that tomorrow is a better day....

we start this day off at night, finding myself having to be escorted off to my partner's home as i was too belligerently drunk to make it back to manhattan at 2 or 3 in the morning. i somehow got the idea of pizza into my head, and would not rest without a slice - and thus i found myself spending $5 on a slice of za'. far too intoxicated to snap a photo, i've included a representative substitute photo above.

by the time i made it home during during the reasonable hours of the day, I found myself lacking in groceries, so i made a quick stop at h mart that ended up costing me $18.47. i think i bought chili oil, kefir, and chai.

next i had to head to work because the grind stops for nobody in this never ending chase for the bag. to boost my spirits after my mild hangover, i bought this mango coconut drink from heytea that was quite good but frankly not something i feel the need to ever buy again. this one cost me $7.61

while at work i bought tickets to a fall festival upstate for my friends and i to go to next weekend. this came out to $21.01.

1.00

i work the night shift on sundays, so i bought myself this stick of meat for dinner. yummy. this came out to $8.

now when we factor in those pesky subway fares, that's an additional $11.60

leaving us with a grand total of...

$71.69

;-;

sept 15

finally a good day! all I spent was $5.80 on the subway. since all i really did this day was work, enjoy this work photo.

this leaves us with a grand total of...

$5.80

sept 16

this was one of my remote workdays, and it also happened to be a 10 hour one. so no money was spent! for better or for worse...

this leaves us with a grand total of...

$0

sept 17

i woke up sick :( so after work i ran over to target and bought myself some cold medicine and a bottle of water. this came out to $13.86. i also paid my last $2.90 for the subway thank GOD.

this leaves us with a grand total of...

$16.76

sept 18

i had a work event i needed to go to this evening, so despite being sick, i hauled ass over there to get the job done. thankfully one of my bosses saw reason and decided to send me home early since i was still ill, so i stopped at a nearby h mart to buy some blackberries on the way back. this came out to $4.98.

1.00

with my new found freedom, i once again linked up with @aristotle, this time for some tom yum soup. i felt this was what i truly needed in light of my ailment. it was really quite wonderful. definitely would get again. this came out to $10.15.

leaving us with a grand total of...

$15.13

sept 19

i awoke to some terrible news. my roommate tested positive for covid ;-; being sickly myself, i thought it wise for me to test as well. so i masked up and ran over to CVS to pay $9.99 for a covid test (and $2 for a pound of grapes).

leaving us with a grand total of...

$11.99

total spending for the week:

$166.14

That's an average of $23.73 per day. let's see if we can beat that next week. all we can do is hope for a better tomorrow ˚ 𝜗𝜚˚⋆。☆
